Arrive in Tokyo and transfer by airport bus to the Ginza Gracery hotel or similar, for a three night stay.
Explore the capital with a private guide using Tokyo’s excellent public transportation. Visit Meiji Jingu shrine, the historic Asakusa district and take a cruise down the Sumida river to Hamarikyu gardens.
Take a trip north, by shared coach, to visit Nikko today. Set in beautiful surroundings, this World Heritage site has been a Centre of Shinto and Buddhist mountain worship for many centuries.
Travel to the beautiful Hakone National Park via Mount Fuji by shared coach. Stop on the slopes, at a height of over 2000m and admire the panoramic views (weather permitting). Later enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashi, and a lovely cable-car ride. Stay overnight at the Hakone hotel or similar. You can enjoy a soak in the hotel’s open-air hot spring bath.
Take the bullet train to Kyoto and stay for two nights at the New Miyako hotel or similar. Take part in a Tea Ceremony at Wak Japan this evening.
