Opened only in May 2017, the Myst is currently our favourite 5-star property in Saigon city. Its sits only a few blocks away from Dong Khoi Street and has rapidly become one of the most recognizable buildings downtown, thanks to its innovative exterior design and extensive, ultra-stylish use of reclaimed and recycled materials. The rooms adopt as ‘less is more’ approach, with a sleek, minimalist look of white walls, raked ceilings and beautiful, polished teak floors. Throughout, wrought-iron grills and stained-glass features add interest, along with the traditional Vietnamese doors and large plants in pots. There’s a delightful underlit pool on the rooftop, a fitness centre and sap. The overall effect is welcoming and sophisticated without being pretentious – exactly what you want from a city centre boutique hotel.
