“A quite wonderful trip with huge numbers of memories. A full-on attack on all our senses. Such fun!
Almost impossible to pinpoint the absolute highlight, though I think we agree that a long walk through a tea plantation with Luke, who was thoroughly fluent on all aspects of tea but also birdlife was probably it. We have singled out Tommy in Cochin for his incredible grasp of the English, but Charles (Chennai) and Matthew (Madurai) very good too.
We met some great fellow travellers along the way and were jealous of the couple who had spent three months touring India, of the father & son who had been to a couple of test matches in the North and the father and daughter who had visited an adopted daughter in the Himalayas.
