The Fort Printers is a lovingly restored boutique hotel in the centre of Galle. Dating back to the 18th century, the printer was still creating beautiful stationery from wooden printing blocks on its wrought iron presses until as recently as 2002. Now its former printing rooms have been converted into 13 stylish and luxurious bedrooms and suites split between three villas. The rooms are furnished with silk curtains with hard wood floors and exposed wooden beams. They also have the modern conveniences of air conditioning and high speed WiFi.

Stepping out from the property there are a multitude of coffee shops and restaurants to explore although the hotel does also have its own restaurant with locally sourced organic produce and freshly caught seafood on the menu.
