Beautiful Om Beach, one of the loveliest bays in Asia, is literally on the doorstep, and the fascinating, atmospheric pilgrimage town of Gokarna lies only a short taxi ride away. You can follow winding red-dirt trails over the surrounding headlands to hidden coves, jump on a fishing boat to search for dolphins at sunset time, and swim in phosphorescent water after dark.
