Run by Sofitel, it offers international-standard luxury within a stone’s throw of the UNESCO World Heritage monuments. We would recommend the spacious ‘Grand Deluxe’ category rooms, with their own balcony and romantic views across the surrounding rooftops or waterfront. Facilities include a fragrant spa, fitness centre and wide choice of places to eat and drink.
Our favourite feature, though, is the hotel’s breezy rooftop pool and sun deck, which transforms to an elegant bar and al fresco lounge area in the evening, where you can savour the expansive views of the city over cocktails.
