Combining cultural tours of highlights like Galle's historic old town or a visit to a nearby temple with massages, spa treatment, early morning yoga sessions and hydrotherapy, this holiday is designed to relax, rejuvenate and activate all the senses.

Suggested itinerary

Day 1
London to Colombo

Arrive into Colombo Airport and enjoy the one hour's drive into Sri Lanka's capital city. If you are feeling up to it, enjoy a short tour of the city before catching up on some sleep.

Day 2
Galle

It's a three hour drive to Galle, a historic walled city, packed full of boutique shops, narrow streets and breathtaking views of the Sri Lankan coastline. Enjoy a walking tour of Galle's old town, admiring the fort before indulging in the hydrotherapy baths at your hotel, the Amangalla. For some extra pampering, book an appointment with the spa's Ayurvedic physician and enjoy a massage or scrub.

Day 3
Galle

Start the day with a yoga class before taking a tour of a local temple. Tonight, enjoy an exclusive dinner among the rice paddies, enjoying the peace and quiet surrounded by nature.

Day 4
Galle

Most wellness holidays include many early starts to make the most of the day and this trip is no exception. If you are travelling to Sri Lanka between November and May, you will wake early to go whale-watching. At this time of year, you can spot the largest mammals in the world - blue whales, just off Sri Lanka's coastline. If you are travelling outside of whale-watching season, you will visit a tea plantation instead before heading further south to Tangalle.

Day 5
Tangalle

Your hotel is nestled down a winding beach track and tantalizingly close to the beach. Today, you will get to enjoy the resorts facilities including the private plunge pool in each room, sweeping beach, spa and beach club. Just before sunset, you will head to Mulkirigala rock for a short trek before dark.

Day 6
Tangalle

Today you can choose to relax on the beach or enjoy some of the hotel's exclusive activities. You can take a cooking class on the beach, a surf lesson or book an afternoon spa treatment. This evening, you will enjoy a romantic dinner on the beach.

Day 7
Colombo

Unless you decide to extend your trip, today you will return to Colombo in time for your flight home.
