The Casino is the original and flagship property of the wonderful CGH chain, a long-standing partner of TransIndus. Their trademark fusion of traditional Keralan style with contemporary luxury is much in evidence here, in an Art Deco property dating from the 1950s which has been lovingly restored. It sits on the tip of Willingdon Island, jutting into the middle of Cochin’s busy harbour, and offers a real haven from the bustle of Fort Cochin and the metropolis on the mainland. The rooms are spacious and cool, and there’s a good sized, salt-water pool to relax in.
