Day 1

UK

Fly from UK to Jakarta on an indirect service.

Day 2

Jakarta

Arrive in Jakarta. Stay for 1 night.

Day 3

Jakarta, Anyer

Drive to Rangkas Bitung. Enjoy a short trek and get to know the Baduy tribe. Continue to Anyer where you stay for the night.

Day 4

Anyer, Krakatau, Pulau Umang

Take the boat across the Sunda straits to reach the Krakatoa volcano. Its eruption in 1883 is one of the deadliest in recorded history. The explosion was heard 2,000 miles away in Perth, Australia! Climb up to the 1st level. After your volcano trek you can spend some time some swimming and snorkeling at Legon Cabe coral reef. Return to the mainland and driven to Sumur village to take the boat to Umang Island. Stay for 2 nights.

Day 5

Pulau Umang

Day at leisure to enjoy the sun and sea at Pulau Umang.

Day 6

Pulau Umang, Jakarta

Drive back to Jakarta today and stay for the night.

Day 7

Jakarta, Solo

Fly to Solo mid-morning, afternoon at leisure. Stay in Solo for 2 nights.

Day 8

Solo

Full day batik workshop at the Danar Hadi Antique Batik Museum. Learn the history of batik, the processes involved and you'll also get to try your hand at making simple batik prints.

Day 9

Solo, Yogyakarta

Drive to Yogyakarta, visiting UNESCO World Heritage Prambanan temples en route. Learn about various batik styles at Museum Batik Jogyakarta. Learn how to draw batik with hot wax on cotton at the Winotosastro Batik factory. Visit Beringharjo and Malioboro streets. Stay in Yogyakarta for 2 nights.

Day 10

Yogyakarta

Visit the awe inspiring UNESCO World Heritage Borobudur temples. You also visit Mendut temple and take a horse-cart ride in Candirejo village. Visit local home industries making sweet potato crackers, herbal medicine and bamboo carvings.

Day 11

Yogyakarta, UK

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK, via Jakarta.
