The famous Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh is said to have the highest density of Bengal tigers in the world. The park has many birds, including vultures, eagles, kingfishers, and woodpeckers.

Not only a great destination in India for wildlife spotting of gaur, deer, wolf, and hyena, Bandhavgarh National Park also features statues and a fort. Bandhavgarh Fort has 39 caves, the oldest of which date from the 1st century. Some caves show inscriptions in Brahmi script and embossed figures of tigers, elephants, pigs, and horsemen. The small rooms and pillar structures are great to discover; the intrigue is enhanced by the fact that the purpose remains a mystery.

The ideal time to visit Bandhavgarh is from October to March when the forest is at its best and provides plenty of food and shelter for wildlife.
