Gwalior, North & Central India, India

Deo Bagh, a heritage hotel in Gwalior, stands as a unique testament to Maratha architecture with its 17th-18th century temples, two exquisite cenotaphs, and a pavilion boasting 36 arched gateways. It is the only garden hotel in Gwalior, offering a serene escape amidst lush greenery. Guests can indulge in birdwatching and enjoy a palatial stay near the historic Gwalior Fort. The property features 15 rooms, including 3 suites and 12 rooms, spread across five wings facing the picturesque Nau Bagh. Each room is steeped in history, reflecting the rich heritage of the Jadhav family of Gwalior. The garden complex is home to family temples, an elephant stable, horse stables, and cenotaphs. Historically significant, it hosted crucial Gwalior State meetings during the British resistance, particularly when the brave Rani of Jhansi fought nearby. Since 1954, it has been the residence of Sardar Deorao Krishnarao Jadhav and his family.
