Although it may seem a little anodyne after the safari camps of the previous ten days, the Holiday Inn at Delhi airport offers a clean and comfortable haven. We like it primarily for its proximity to the terminal (a mere 10-minute drive, door to door), but rooms are a generous size: due to the triple-glazed soundproofing, noise from aircraft taking off and landing is minimal. There’s a well-equipped fitness centre, spa offering saunas and massages, and an outdoor pool should you feel like a final workout before catching the plane home.
