Kanha National Park, North & Central India, India
A dozen slate-and-stone cottages are dotted around the leafy compound of the Singinawa Jungle Lodge whose illustrious owners are passionate and renowned tiger conservationists Nanda and Latika Rana. Each little villa has its own veranda to relax on, semi-al fresco bathrooms with rain showers, and log fires indoors to warm the spacious, luxuriously decorated bedroom.
Between safaris, relax by a picture-book free-form pool set amid granite boulders, browse the impressive wildlife library, or go for guided cycle rides to nearby village where Singinawa sponsor numerous development projects, and from where most of their smiling, courteous staff originate.
Our opinion
First class jungle lodge with a strong conservation ethos.
