Located just outskirts of Nasik, in the foothills of the Western Ghats on the Deccan Plateau, Nasik offers the perfect climate for grape cultivation. Wine experts from Bordeaux and California were drafted some 25 years ago to help create a string of vineyards that now producing some high-quality wines in the region. We visit three different estates, each equipped with tasting rooms that wouldn’t look out of place in the Nappa Valley – and provide the perfect opportunity to taste some of the perfectly matured wines of India.
