Myanmar is not particularly well known for its beaches, but it is easy to see why so many visitors are seduced by the translucent water and powder-soft white sand at Ngapali. After a couple of weeks or more of intense travel, a spell lazing under the palms, listening to the crash of surf and rustle of coconut fronds, can be very welcome.
Nestled under the tree canopy that line Ngapali’s sweeping bays are ranks of gorgeous little boutique hideaways and restaurants. The seafood is sublime, and weather dependably hot and sunny. Despite its relative remoteness, getting there couldn’t be easier - the airport is only a twenty-minute transfer away.
