AITO Membership
TransIndus is a proud partner of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) – an umbrella organisation representing 122 of Britain's best independent travel companies.
Our AITO membership demonstrates we provide personalised advice based on first-hand experience of our destinations and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. We achieve this by concentrating on three main pillars: choice, quality and service – as enshrined in the AITO Quality Charter.
TransIndus is financially assessed and bound by AITO’s code of business practice, which demands clear and accurate descriptions of holidays, the use of customer feedback questionnaires for monitoring standards and promoting sustainable tourism.
EXCLUSIVE MEMBERSHIP
AITO sets ownership, finance and quality criteria, which must be satisfied before new companies are admitted to membership. All members are required to adhere to a Code of Business Practice, which encourages high operational standards and conduct.
FINANCIAL SECURITY
As an AITO member, TransIndus is required to arrange financial protection for all holidays and other arrangements (including accommodation only) booked by customers. This financial protection applies to customers who are residents in the UK at the time of booking and to most overseas customers who have booked directly with us. In doing so, we must comply with UK government regulations. We are required to submit details of our financial protection arrangements to AITO on a regular basis.
ACCURATE BROCHURES AND WEBSITES
TransIndus do its utmost to ensure that all our brochures and other print or electronic publications clearly and accurately describe the holidays and services offered.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENTS
TransIndus are committed to high standards of service and believes in regular and thorough training of employees. We continually seek to review and improve our holidays, listening to our customers and always welcoming suggestions for improving standards.
MONITORING STANDARDS
AITO endeavours to monitor quality standards regularly, and we encourage customers to leave feedback on www.aito.com, the results of which are scrutinised by the Association.
SUSTAINABLE TOURISM – Project PROTECT
As an AITO member, we acknowledge the importance of AITO’s Sustainable Tourism ethos, which recognises the social, economic, and environmental responsibilities of tour operators.
CUSTOMER RELATIONS
TransIndus endeavours to deal swiftly and fairly with any issues our customers may raise. AiTO Also offers a low-cost arbitration service to bring the matter to a speedy and acceptable conclusion.
