India: Getting Around By Air

Internal air travel is normally on scheduled services of Indian Airlines or Jet Airways, the two main carriers in the subcontinent, with SriLankan Airlines also an option in South India. These flights are non-smoking and there is complimentary in-flight catering. Alcohol is not served.

Airports in India have the basic amenities but seldom of reasonable standards. If you have a long wait before a flight it may be advisable to spend that time at a hotel lounge outside. We often provide a car with driver to facilitate this. The car waits with your baggage while you can use the lounge facilities and enjoy a drink before your flight.
